The Ticket can be brought easily at Western & Eastern Gate from ticket counter respectively.

The ticket is valid for three hours only.

Once sold it can not be cancelled.

Photography not allowed inside the mausoleum.

Shoe covers are mandatory for mausoleum.

Only paper ticket is checked at entry of mausoleum.

The ticket prices are in INR.

Foreigner currency not accepted at ticket window.

You can buy ticket either by cash or card.

This ticket permit your entry anywhere inside the Taj Mahal except its main mausoleum.

Visitor get paper ticket as well as plastic token from ticket window.

Plastic token is mandatory to show at its entry gate along with your ticket.

Children of any nationality below 15 yrs are permitted free entry.

• The opening time of the Taj Mahal is 30 minutes before sunrise.

• Summer time 5:25 am and Winter time 5:40 am.

WHAT IS THE CLOSING TIME FOR TAJ MAHAL?

• The closing time of Taj Mahal is 30 minutes before sunset.

• The Taj Mahal ticket selling booking window close at 5:30 pm in summer and 5:00 pm in winter.

  • WHAT IS THE ENTRY (FEE) TICKET COST PRICE FOR THE TAJ MAHAL?
  • The entrance ticket price for the Taj Mahal is different for Indian, Foreigner, NRI and SAARC (BIMSTEC) national. The below mentioned rates for respective nationalities are in Indian currency. Also, the below mentioned price include the mausoleum entry ticket. If you buy ticket online, you can avail little discount. Do remember that the Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday. You have to pay Indian currency at ticket window. Foreign currencies are not entertained at the Taj Mahal booking window but you can pay by credit or debit card.

  • The sunrise time is recommended for photography because crowd is less. But avoid sunrise time in winter especially in month of December, January and February because dense fog can disrupt your photography. March to June is recommended for photography point of view.

  • Sunrise time is recommended to avoid crowd. Evening time, you can face tremendous crowd inside Taj Mahal.

  • Yes, photography by digital camera is allowed inside Taj Mahal but it is restricted inside the main mausoleum.

  • IS VIDEO CAMERA ALLOWED INSIDE TAJ MAHAL?
  • Video camera is allowed only up to the plate form of the Taj Mahal by paying fee of INR 25. Beyond the plate form, videography is strictly prohibited. For commercial photography with equipment, one is required to take permission from ASI office in Agra.
